The origin of the New Year lucky money custom

Lucky money is the name of the custom in the Lunar New Year in Asian countries and Vietnam, it is the custom to put money into a small envelope decorated with brilliant yellow decorations to celebrate the age of children.

In the southern dialect of Vietnamese, that money is called li xi tet tien hinh con chuot money.

The New Year lucky money custom has existed since time immemorial, originating from China.
